Keyword "void" is terrible (!!)
« on: September 29, 2018, 07:43:42 AM »
    Never liked this keyword. I remember early recommendation from old ะก programmers to replace it by typedef void proc, for example. Simply to don't-read-it.

    Sound "void" == [Oi - D] . [Oi] - sound of fear. When you are repeating sound [D] - you can not think - this sound makes your mind stupiD ) . It is similar to hit to a wall.

    Acoustic vibration in cranium (even thinking) has intense influence on state of mind. void is too bad, too desctructive word to read it so often on position of regular keyword. It makes understanding worse. It is better to exclude it from the language.

    Maybe, proc for return-type of procedures (or return type can be simply absent in case of procedure).

    Maybe, generic * for generic type of pointer. generic is very good, "generous" word. I very like it in my C code.

    I understand, i am talking about strange internals. Is it true or not - you can check by yourself: try to repeat word "void" aloud multiple times, and feel what appears inside your soul. When I doing it, i feel fear and "dead end". These feelings don't help in understanding program code. They make barriers. Regular reading of this keyword makes thinking worse. It has very bad ergonomics.

    Ergonomics is one of my favorite scientific disciplines. Methods of this discipline can look strange - main source of scientific data is human feelings. Because of it, sometimes, it can look like fiction, but experiment can repeat it. I am sure, scanning of brain will approve bad negative power of this word.

    P.S. I am on side of light.

    I vote for generic * for generic type of pointer. I use it in my C code (since we started this discussion) and i like it very much. This word is rich, noble, generous.

    It's like gift. Programmers will read it during their work, and this word will adjust their brains to generous wave.

    Omitting of return type in case of procedures looks good:

        fun
        procedure(){
            return;
        }

    P.S. I found styling :) .

    Default style is bad readable.

What you found was a way to make only half of your text to fit horizontally on the screen at a time when viewed on mobile. Seriously, stop it.
